If you want the version of browser version etc... and so on, then I would check out the user sessions surrounding that application. You can also add in string properties to capture further data on the pages etc.
You may be able to get this accomplished with Synthetic Monitoring, If you run an availability test against the URL, you should be able to get the information returned as part of the result set.
