In a Dynatrace trial, I have connected DT to my AWS EKS clusters and can see all services, but no logs at all. I have OneAgent and DT operator with ActiveGate installed, in "log storage configuration" I have included logs for the main K8s namespaces, I have enabled OneAgent logs, but still nothing. Do I need to define a processing rule under "log processing"? My pods generate logs in JSON format.
Please cut me some slack, I only started messing with DT today.... 🙂

Hi @gdevelek,
Could you please check this documenatation about the prerequisites and limitations?
Log Monitoring in Kubernetes | Dynatrace Docs
"Note: Only the classic full-stack and cloud-native full-stack injections are supported. For details, see Deployment options on Kubernetes/OpenShift."
+ If I were you I would switch on the log monitoring v2.
Switch to latest Log Monitoring | Dynatrace Docs
I hope it helps.
Best regards,

Thanks for taking the time to respond.
I'm using the "classic full-stack", and I'm already in v2 log monitoring.
Can you push me the extra yard?
The docs need some work, to be honest. After hours of docs, I came here.

Hi @gdevelek,
I guess you have already checked this setting also:
To be honest I have not had to do any extra configuration in my tenants to ingest the OPC and OKD application logs into DT (in the onpremis clustres not in AWS).
Maybe it could help:
Set up AWS log forwarding | Dynatrace Docs
Many times I forgot to save the log source selection... 😉
BTW I do not konw any limitation in the trial licence.
I hope other community members have another ideas for you...
Best regards,
